Department of Orthopaedics, Dispur Hospitals had organized a live workshop on ARTHROSCOPY OF KNEE AND SHOULDER, on 19TH March, 2016 in its premises. Dr. Nagraj Shetty, renowed Arthroscopic surgeon from Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai was present as guest faculty.
Various Arthroscopic operative procedures on knee and shoulder were performed. Besides the eminent surgeons from the entire North Eastern region, there were sixty orthopaedic surgeons attending the event.
Seven surgeries were performed on the day with three procedures for shoulder joint pathology and four procedures for knee joint pathology. Surgical techniques like BANKER’T REPAIR, ROTATOR CUFF REPAIR, SUBACROMICAL DECOMPRESSION for shoulder joint were performed with arthroscopic technique. Arthrolysis was performed through Arthroscopic technique for knee cruciate ligament reconstruction and Meminescectomy.
The workshop was followed with a C.M.E at Taj Vivanta, Guwahati on the same day. Scientific sessions with paper presentation and guest lecture had highlighted the C.M.E event.
